Proposed FY 2023-2024 Budget

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING - FORM 50-876

If approved this budget will raise more total property taxes than last year's budget by $269,133 and of that amount $87,557 is tax revenue raised from new property added to the tax roll this year.

The preliminary proposed 2023 tax rate of $0.475000 per $100 valuation is the same rate as 2022.

NO-NEW-REVENUE TAX RATE     $0.441777 per $100

VOTER-APPROVAL TAX RATE      $0.647272 per $100

DE MINIMIS TAX RATE                   $0.466249 per $100

The no-new-revenue tax rate is the tax rate for the 2023 tax year that will raise the same amount of property tax revenue for the city from the same properties in the 2022 tax year.

Please examine your property tax statement very carefully to verify your homestead, over 65, and/or disability exemptions are still being applied. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact the Tarrant County Appraisal District at 817-284-0024. 

Note, the City cannot intervene regarding your appraisal and final tax bill. The County collects taxes for all entities.
