Operation Identification

Operation Identification

Operation Identification is a citizen’s burglary prevention program for use in homes and businesses. The Operation ID program involves the marking of property with an identifying number as a means of discouraging burglary and theft. In many communities, Operation Identification has shown dramatic results in its ability to reduce burglaries.

Operation Child Identification

Operation Child Identification kits provide parents and police with critical identifying information in case of a missing child.  The Westworth Village Police Department has free kits that you can use to fingerprint your child at home and store in a safe place in case anything happens to your child. These kits include a description of the child, fingerprinting instructions, and safety tips you can use to discuss Stranger Danger with your child.

Bicycle Registration

Residents in Westworth Village may register their bicycles with the Police Department. Bicycles are engraved with an Owner Applied Number, which assists in deterring theft and recovering stolen bicycles.

Pet Registration

Per City Ordinance, all dogs and cats residing within the city limits of Westworth Village must be registered with the Police Department. All animals must have a current rabies vaccination prior to registration. Registration cost for Spayed or Neutered animals is $4; Non-Spayed or Non-Neutered animal registration is $6.

The City holds an annual, reduced-cost vaccination clinic.  Watch the monthly newsletter for more information.
